OAU Pre-degree Admission Form 2024/2025

Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) pre-degree admission form 2024/2025 is out for interested applicants. Students interested in studying any pre-degree programs available in the 2024/2025 academic session are cordially invited.

 

Pre-degree Program

The pre-degree program aims to provide the required exposure to prepare eligible students for university. The course of study includes the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) subjects, including English (compulsory) and then Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Government, Geography, Economics, English Literature, and Religious Studies.

Note that students are required to pick three subjects in addition to English.

One must attain a 60% score to qualify for admission into the 100 level of the relevant degree program in the institution. Admission is on merit and requirements that match the admission requirements of the university and its faculties.

Pre-degree Programme Duration

OAU pre-degree program runs on a two-period basis, within nine months. It’s structured into two periods for 16 weeks (each) and with a minimum contact hour of 5 to 6 per week for a subject.

Also, there is a three-week break between the first and second periods and two-week examinations during both periods.
